Description: Adult retelling of Beauty and the Beast with a dash of Cinderella that probably has more appeal to women than most sex features, due to its dark romanticism. Slender Loni Sanders brings her exotic features, vivid natural auburn hair, and perfectly sculpted genitalia to the role of Beauty, whose father has gambled her away. She is forced to become the consort of the vicious, voracious Martin "The Animal" Gross (Jamie Gillis). She yearns to escape him, and the conniving of her evil sisters. Will she find the prince of her dreams?

Remarks: This is a bi-coastal production, bouncing back and forth from San Francisco to New York, and featuring regulars of the era from both locales.

Not SLEEPING BEAUTY as one might suspect, but rather BEAUTY AND THE BEAST is the focus of this Warren Evans film that is ultimately flawed by that which also makes it hot. In one of her best performances ever, fan favourite Loni Sanders plays the title character Beauty, who bites the bullet and agrees to live with chauvinist pig dog Martin Gross (who else but Jamie Gillis?) in order to save her father's business.

While her sisters Faith and Hope (Laurien and Nicole) are promiscuous little devils, Beauty remains the epitome of chaste purity, keeping her diary and resisting Jamie's advances. She does observe a wide variety of his orchestrated sexual madness. When she is tricked by the jealous sisters, Jamie lets her leave New York for a week with dad in San Francisco. The young innocent is ripe for seduction as Paul Thomas enters the picture. But not satisfied by the experience, will she find her true dream prince behind the mask? Will she break down his facade and end the charade? Any idiot knows the answer.

Despite the length, the eroticism is maintained, even though the narration and pace may wear down raincoaters. The flaw involves an extraneous basketball locker room scene with Vanessa and Veronica and lots of stylish wet shots, but since the scene is firecracker hot, only film purists would object to its inclusion. A nice solid sleeper, perfect for couples.
